Rashid Khan-Cricketer, Profile, Bio, Age, IPL, Career Stats, Success & More
If a person makes an intention, then he has the power to change the whole world with his actions. Rashid Khan did something similar, giving a new identity to Afghanistan and the Afghanistan cricket team. Rashid Khan gave a new hope for the generation there that they too can do something in their life.
Childhood of Rashid Khan
Rashid Khan Arman
was born on 20 September 1998 in Nangarhar, a small village in Afghanistan. There were a total of 10
siblings in the house and Rashid used to come at number six in that. When
Afghan War started in the year 2001, Rashid's family settled in a refugee camp
in Pakistan and when things got better, he returned to Afghanistan with his
family. There he continued his studies.
Rashid was already very good in studies and there was no doctor in his whole family, so his mother wanted him to study and become a doctor and bring glory to the whole family. He used to get good marks in class also and somewhere Rashid also wanted to become a doctor.
Rashid's Love for Cricket
Rashid's elder brothers used to play cricket throughout the
day and his family was also very fond of watching cricket on TV and Rashid's
interest also gradually increased towards cricket.
Because the conditions outside in Afghanistan were not good,
Rashid's parents did not allow him to go out and play. But many times Rashid
used to bunk school and go to play cricket.
Once while playing outside like this, Rashid had a serious injury in his hand and he was too scared to even tell the house. When the pain increased after two-three weeks, his family members came to know about this. Since then, strict restrictions were imposed on Rashid.
Rashid's entry in cricket against the situation in Afghanistan
At that time the situation in Afghanistan was not good and
the people there were not much interested in cricket. The Afghanistan national
cricket team could not achieve any major international status at that time.
In such a situation, making a career in cricket for the
child means walking alone on that path where no one has even thought of going.
When Rashid's elder brothers saw Rashid's cricket, how he was spinning the
ball, they also supported Rashid.
He used to play cricket secretly every Sunday. Rashid loved
to bat, so while playing on Sunday, his friend said that there is a tournament
in Peshawar and he needs a batsman. On that day Rashid played competitive level
cricket for the first time. In that match Rashid had scored 130 runs chasing a
target of 195 while batting open.
The coach of the team came and told Rashid that you are fine in both batting and bowling, you just need to work a little hard, and you can definitely play for your country's team. This also convinced Rashid that he had the potential and that he too could reach a higher level.

Cricket
Rashid Khan joined a club when he came back to Afghanistan
and was soon selected in the domestic team. Team coach asked Rashid in a match
where do you bat or bowl, if you want open at bat you will not get bowled, but
if you want to do both, then you have to bat at number eight. At that time
Rashid bowled and in the next three
matches he took 21 wickets. Since
then he has played as a bowler in every team.
He had a natural talent, he just needed a little hard
work. Due to his hard work, he was selected in the Under-19 team and Rashid did well there as well. He scored an
unbeaten 67 against Pakistan in the
match of 29 October 2014.
That day his family watched that match live on TV. Then Rashid's family felt that he can do something big, can brighten the name of Afghanistan.

T20 tournament in the Shpageeza Cricket
League. In 5 matches, he took just 3 wickets at an average of 31.33 and an
economy of 7.83.
Meanwhile, Rashid was included in the Afghanistan A team,
where he was included in the camp but was not fed in a single match. After this
he was also dropped from the team.
Getting a lot much so quickly and then failure? Rashid
started doubting himself again that, I am made for a big level? On this,
Rashid's elder brother scolded him a lot and said that you go and study only.
On that matter Rashid's mother explained to him that when a person starts something new, he is bound to fail. But considering that failure to be true, it is a big failure, this thing was felt in Rashid's heart.
